Expectations
Be Positive
In all instances, do your best to find the good in the situation. A positive attitude shows maturity and encourages our fellow dance team members to perform at their best. We are striving to be positive role models for our peers and future Kings High School Dance Team members.
Be Supportive
We have a wide range of dance abilities and personalities. We should always make an effort to be helpful to members who are struggling. A team is only as strong as its weakest member, whoever that might be at that time. The strongest members will be those who are helpful and encouraging.
Be Responsible
This category includes attending practices when scheduled, wearing proper attire, being timely, checking your email and website for Dance Team information, communicating with the Coach, remembering props/costumes/papers, and much more. Being responsible and dependable individually makes us a better team as a whole.
Be Cooperative
Being part of a team requires flexibility. We must be willing to relinquish our own wants for the good of the team. Cooperation often requires a few leaders and many followers.
Be Respectful
We should follow decisions made by leaders in our group without grumbling. Your Coach will be making decisions for the group in a manner she feels is appropriate and fair. If we have concerns, we should speak with the Coach privately.
Be Diligent
We should always seek to better our skills. Practice time should be well spent, and all members are expected to work on individual skills outside of practice as necessary. We should always come to practice ready to work hard and never be completely satisfied with our individual range of technical skills.
