2011 UDA Camp
The Kings High School Dance Teams will begin their 7th season with 14 Varsity dancers, 12 JV dancers, and 25 Junior High dancers.  Deborah Smith is the coach, and she is assisted by Jessica Liesch.

The high school dancers spend over 500 hours together each season participating in social events, camps, performances, youth clinics, practices, and community outreach projects. The girls can be seen performing at men's and women's home basketball games for KHS as well as pep assemblies, competitions, charity events, recitals, and arts festivals.

Coach Smith strives to improve individual dance skills while stressing the importance of responsibility and respect for one another. The dancers work to build a bond, a "sisterhood," that shows in the way they perform as a team.

2011 Varsity
2011 JV
During the 2011/2012 year, they started their season off with a busy summer. In addition to a youth camp fundraiser and car wash, the team traveled to the University of Louisville and Miami University to compete against other dance teams.

In Louisville, the team officers (Captain Alison Feucht, 1st Lieutenants Montana Mosby and Natalie Weinrich, and 2nd Lieutenant Lauren Abernathy) won first place in the Team Leader Competition between all officer groups. Alison & Natalie were awarded All American Awards, and Alison also won the Top Gun Kick Award.

At Miami, the entire team competed and were awarded two Superior Trophies. In addition, they earned the Perfect Ribbon Score, meaning all 28 girls from the Kings JV and Varsity teams earned blue ribbons in all routines in which they performed. The JV team won the 110% award from the staff, and the Varsity team was awarded the Leadership Award, which is voted on by other teams competing at the camp.

Six girls from Kings were awarded All American Awards - Alison Feucht, Montana Mosby, Lauren Abernathy, and Holly Zaso for Varsity, and Emma Fitzgerald and Niki Walter for JV. They received a 2nd place award for their home routine and the "Full Out" award for outstanding effort on the Team routine evaluation. Lastly, Deborah Smith was awarded the Outstanding Coach award, voted on by fellow coaches at the camp. The team also qualified to compete at the National High School Dance Competition held at Disney World.
